Service Learning

Each year, each company (class period) plans, coordinates, and executes a service learning project.  Cadets will use classroom time to brainstorm different ideas that they feel will benefit our community.  They will narrow the choices down, make contact with the person or agency who runs the program/ organization, and make a final  decision on what they will do to make things better.
Sale Creek JROTC has run some incredible service projects during the past years, including:
- Made and delivered stuffed animals for a local children's hospital
- Aid for a local cancer student
- Bone Marrow Drive for a former student
- Cemetery Clean-up and sign refurbishment
- Painted the Sale Creek Fire Hydrants (200+)
- Sewed blankets for the homeless
- Cared for a local WWII Veteran
- Retirement home visitation
- Pet placement center
- Chambliss Care Center assistance
- Operation Christmas Child
- Eyeglass Collection for the local Lion's Club
- Bought books and delivered them to Wounded Warriors at Ft Benning
- Elementary school mentorship program
- American Legion flag retirement
